The theme for the 2016 edition of the beloved MCQP is *drum roll please* The Musical!
In the words of the Queen Mother of all things fabulous, “Oh no she better don’t” miss the biggest African lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) event of the year!
And just what do we mean? Well, darlings and deviants, the Mother City Queer Project (best known as MCQP) is once again set to werk and mince its way onto Cape Town’s festive season calendar taking over the Zip Zap Circus Dome on Saturday, 17 December 2016.
MOTHER CITY QUEER PROJECT PARTY THEME ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2016
This year the theme reveal was a little rocky, but after a few bumps in the road an exciting new theme has been unveiled – MCQP, The Musical. The possibilities for inspiration are endless; from Phantom to Cats, Mamma Mia to Billy Elliot and The Lion King to Rent. Seize this opportunity to unite in the spirit of your favourite musicals, dress as your favourite character, and even recruit your friends to complete the set.
Eager partygoers won’t want to miss this event as the official MCQP is one of Cape Town’s most anticipated parties of the summer season and a mainstay in the minds of even the breeder (heterosexual) population.
